The event will include a buffet dinner, drinks, dessert auction, and live performances featuring SEMYO students and area professional musicians. SEMYO will also present the Bravura Award for Excellence in Music Education to Kasson-Mantorville Director of Bands and Rochester Community Band Director Tony Boldt (learn more about Mr. Boldt) This is a chance to enjoy great music, food, drinks, and fun company in the beautiful Rochester Art Center Great Hall, overlooking city lights and the river. What a great way celebrate the positive impact music education has on our youth and our community!  Tickets may be purchased online at the link below. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., dinner is served at 6:45, and the music program begins at 7:15 p.m.

Performers will include select members of the SEMYO Concert Orchestra string section, conducted by SEMYO Artistic Director Keehun Nam.  Corey and Susan Henke, along with SEMYO alumni Ethan Erickson, will perform a selection for two horns and piano. The final piece is a woodwind quintet featuring SEMYO faculty Sarah Vinzant and Joel Denny, along with area music teachers.

Funds raised at ‘It’s Instrumental’ help to cover program operation costs and keep SEMYO tuition affordable for students and families.  They also benefit SEMYO’s Scholarship and Outreach program for both tuition and music lessons, the strings program at Riverside Central Elementary School, and community tour performances throughout Southeastern Minnesota.

Help us reach our goal of raising $25,000 and follow our progress throughout the next month!
