Rose Mish - Interim Chamber Strings Conductor

Rose Mish is a dedicated and accomplished musician with a passion for teaching and performing.  A 2011 graduate of Pine Island High School, she went on to earn a Bachelor of Music in Composition from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 2015. Deciding to stay in Eau Claire after graduation, Ms. Mish joined the Chippewa Valley Symphony as a violinist from 2016 to 2023. In addition, Ms. Mish served as the Orchestra Librarian from 2019 to 2023, demonstrating her organizational skills and commitment to the ensemble.
From 2018 to 2023, Rose Mish taught private lessons full-time at Offbeats Violin Shop & Music Studio in Eau Claire, managing a robust schedule of 50-60 students.
Her expertise spans multiple instruments, including violin, viola, piano, and cello. In 2022, Ms. Mish assisted the Chippewa Valley Youth Symphony in her role as string coach, guiding young musicians in their development.
In addition to her teaching and symphonic work, Rose Mish has recorded and performed with the band “Wyblue,” contributing to two albums released in 2022. She is known for her love of singing and improvising on the violin, adding creative flair to their performances.
Rose Mish returned to her home state of Minnesota in 2023 after accepting the position as Co-Director of Music serving at First Unitarian Universalist in Rochester. This role allows her to continue sharing her musical talents and leadership within a vibrant community. 
Ms. Mish is passionate about fostering a love for music in students of all ages and continues to inspire through both instruction and performance.
