An Evening of Chamber Music

Join SEMYO for our fourth annual It’s Instrumental gala on Friday, October 11, 2019 from 6:30-9 PM (check-in begins at 6:00) at Somerby Golf Club in Byron, Minnesota.

The event will feature live music, a silent and live auction, buffet dinner, drinks, the presentation of the Bravura Music Educator Award, and a collection of staff, volunteers, teachers, conductors, and parents who shape the minds and talent of the young musicians of SEMYO. It’s a true celebration of music education and the positive impact it has on our youth.

Highlights of the evening include student testimonials, a performance by the SEMYO faculty and professional harpist Amy Nam featuring Debussy’s Prelude to the Afternoon of a Faune, violin duo Ethan Warrington and Evan Schuman, and much more!

Aaron Cole, Band Director at Mayo High School, will be honored with the Bravura Award for Inspiring Student Excellence Through Music Education. Since Mr. Cole will be leading the Mayo pep band, SEMYO and Mayo Band student Ben Hach will accept the award on Mr. Cole’s behalf.

Tickets are $75.00 and include, admission, a buffet dinner, two drink tickets, and one adult ticket to a SEMYO concert of your choice. You may also purchase a table of 8 for $600 or VIP table for $750. VIP tables includes premium seating and one extra drink ticket for each person. All proceeds go to benefit SEMYO programming.
